My chromecast will play audio but no video! What's going on?

I can connect any device I have and have the option to cast videos from google play, youtube, & chrome but there is only audio. When I unplug the chromecast and plug it back in, the TV shows "Chromecast..." at the bottom and then the chrome logo, and then a black screen. Even after that, I still get audio but no video.

Try on another port for that TV or another TV in general -- if the same thing occurs it sounds like the Chromecast could be damaged.

If you aren't getting the various Chromecast scenic picture display when you tune in to the Chromecast display port, something is wrong. What is the source of power for your CC device? If a USB port on TV, maybe not enuf juice.

Try doing a factory reset through the home ap. Iy sorted it out for me
