My company sets mandatory screen lock on our phones. Will Moto 360 still work properly?

I have a company issued Samsung GS5 and the company administrators recently forced user settings on our phones. Now I need to do a pin unlock and the maximum time I can set my phone to not lock is 5 minutes so I am always needing to put in my pin to see emails and access the phone.
I just ordered a M360 from Moto site yesterday when it dawned on me that the watch will be crippled if I have to unlock the phone to see notifications.
Does anyone have any insight as to what to expect from the 360 under these circumstances? I'd have to cancel the order if I learn the watch will not deliver notifications or be able to activate calls with "OK Google" etc.

Info is greatly appreciated!

My personal phone is a Galaxy Note 2 which I have a pin code for screen lock. I installed an app called Pebble Locker which allows you to have trusted Bluetooth devices connected to your phone which then bypasses the pin code and make it swipe to unlock. But once the Bluetooth connection is broken (in the event you walk to far away from your phone or if someone steals it and runs), it will automatically enable the pin code again. This make it easier for me to get into my phone when I'm wearing my watch.

With this setup, I have been able to start voice calls and voice texts from my watch. Voice prompted navigation also works. So unless your work disables you're ability to install apps on your phone, I'd recommend Pebble Locker. It's free to install but it's a couple bucks to enable the trusted devices feature.

I'm in the same situation, OP. The good news is that almost everything works fine. Notifications, voice commands, etc., all work with a locked phone. The bad news is that a few apps where the watch causes something on the phone to happen, such as Runkeeper, don't work at all. You say "OK Google, Start a run", but the app doesn't actually open on your phone, so the timer/tracking doesn't start. I don't think there's a workaround.

Re trusted bluetooth devices, that's a cool feature, but unfortunately most companies that mandate PIN locks also disable the trusted bluetooth capability on your phone (yes, they can do that).

I'm quite happy with my 360, even with these restrictions.
