My daughter wants an s7

My 16 yr old wants the s7 phone. I really wanted to get her the moto g6 but she wants this one. Since I'm on a 200 to 300 budget I can't afford much better phone. For a teenager, plus not getting the big upgrades will this still be an OK phone for her to use for a decent amount of time?

Only 30 day warranty since it's refurbished, but you could always buy a 3rd party insurance plan like SquareTrade.

I would but I also have to get a phone for my wife and other daughter. I might be able to go with s8 edge.

I think an S7 would be fine. It should be on Oreo, which will still be a decent version to be on for at least another year or two. If you're looking into getting a used one, just be cautious about the battery -- if the previous owner abused the battery by letting it drain deeply on a regular basis, it might not have much life left. You could use an app like AccuBattery to estimate the battery health.
