Not long ago I posted a thread titled Mystery Pics. Which basically had to do with thousands of pictures and videos showing up on my SD card, killing it's memory and basically annoying me to no end. I eventually noticed that these were attachments from unopened email in my mailbox(not Gmail). Yesterday I opened my inbox clicked Menu>Settings>General Settings and adjusted "Attachment Cache" from External Storage to Internal Storage. Boy, was that a bonehead thing to do. See when I had it set to External Storage I overlooked the fact that my "Mail Size Limit" (Menu>Settings>Receive Settings) was set to Maximum Size causing it to just save that same pic or vid over and over again, thousands of times over. But, like I said, yesterday I switched it from External Storage to Internal thinking that was maybe the correct setting to avoid bogging down my SD Card. Indeed, that's just what happened. My SD Card is just as empty as it was the last time I looked at it. My Internal Storage however has gone from 80MB free to less than 1.
My first thought was to clear the cache or maybe even the data of Mail in Settings. But for some reason those are not available as options. My 2nd thought was to perform yet another Hard Reset. But, I've read the posts of others and they've had no luck with this route either. My 3rd and final thought is to just throw this mutha fu66a out the window and hope it doesn't mysteriously show back up on my nightstand.
Well Androidians, what are your thoughts?
