My edge screen does not light up when I receive notifications from contacts in my people list

my edge screen does not light up and I have set my people list but when there are messages or phone calls the edge does not light up. Are my settings wrong somewhere?

Welcome to the forums. There may be a settings issue, however, I do not have the device. Have you checked our forum for your specific phone?
