Went inot my mail to forward a mail and BAMM!

"Enter your Email and Password to setup an account"

All of my Email accounts are gone and only the setup screen is there.

Is this normal?

Should I plan on this happening frequently?

I have not installed any new apps for over a week, I have made no changes.

Any help is appreciated!!!

Did you have them setup in gmail and you went into Samsungs email app? I haven't heard of this problem at all. I use the gmail app and noticed that if you haven't setup am account in @email it asks you to when you start it.

I lost my Exchange account a few weeks after I put it on, but nothing has happened to my Gmail [yet!]. There are issues with Droid devices wiping out accounts for some unknown reason. I have heard about it on the Moto Droid also. Just set it back up and keep your fingers crossed.

I had 2 gmail accounts and an exchange account.

The setup for each brings back all of the accounts but this is not ok, I rely on my device.

Ok so I looked in the accounts/sync and all of the sycn accounts were there just no email accounts, weird:confused:

Its is just adding to my frustration, I am finding some lag throughout and the GPS fix is killing me.

Just really pissed off right now.

I expect better out of a high end phone.

My complaints are in with ATT so I could go back to the aria, or the iphone.

I really wanted this to work.

As mentioned previously, use the Gmail app and not the stock email program to setup your Gmail accounts. That app appears to be more stable. Exchange syncing will probably always be an issue regardless of the phone unless it is setup for Blackberry Enterprise. I setup an Exchange account for a client through one service that wouldn't let you sync your phone to Exchange unless you paid for their syncing program - well you could do it, but it was buggy. There is a one-click lagfix on the Market that can be used to root and fix the lag (takes less than 5 minutes to do) and there are numerous sources out there for fixing the GPS issues (Fix the GPS on Your Samsung Galaxy-S Based Phone (Vibrant, Captivate) ? AndroidSPIN | Your No.1 source for Everything Android.). Don't give up yet...

Thanks for the support.

I am not sure about rooting yet, but it is an option to fix the lag.

Non of the GPS fixes worked, I labored over and over....but none fixed it permanently.

Still looking forward to a complete phone.

Really thanks again!!!!!

I had it happen once too. It was weird and hasn't happened again. Hopefully the GPS fix will fix this too.

I've had this happen three times - I had two exchange and two POP3 emails accounts set up. After the third time, I just set up one exchange account and it hasn't happened since. I use K-9 for my pop3 emails and Touchdown for my other exchange. This is giving me a chance to use all three and see which one I like - problem is, I like pieces of each. Touchdown is great, but it doesn't sync with the native calendar. And it is slow. And I have batter issues that I think must have to do with three email apps polling and checking email. It's almost like the cell radio locks and just grinds the battery down - my phone died after sitting on my desk for 3 hours - no usage at all. The GPS has done that to me too.

I also REALLY want to love this phone, but the stuttering/lag and the battery life are killing me.

This happened to me today for the first time. Twice. After the second time my account disapeared, I cleared the cache and data for the email app and also deleted the dalvik cache before setting up my account again. Fingers crossed.
