My email has not synced since 3-24-16. How do I sync the email?

When viewing my email on the internet, I can see current emails. On my Samsung Galaxy 6, it says last syned March 24...... Unable to find how to correct this problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the stock Email app, or the Gmail app? Where are you seeing the "last synced" message--in the Settings>Accounts​ menu?
