My Essential Phone hasn't gotten Android P yet

First, make sure you are on WiFi. Then, go into settings and in the "System" menu look for "System Update" , select "Check for Update." I can't recall exactly how it was set up in Oreo, if you have issues finding the option then Search Settings for "Check for update."

I did that but it says it's up to date running 8.1.0

Had my essential for two days. Unlocked from Amazon and I have a T Mobile SIM. Received Android Pie today. I'm lucky I think
