my ex just got his phone today and we need help!!

ok so my ex just got his samsung galaxy precedent and i told him how to save a picture from a text.. but when he saved it onto his phone it saved it as file 7 but he can't find this file... where would it go?:'(

ok so scratch that he can't spell... he just downloaded it and he doesn't know where to go to try to find the picture... i just want to help him but i'm in gerogia and he moved back to texas so i can't look at the phone to know what's wrong..... please help!!
