I've had my P40 Pro pro for about a month or so, and I'm loving. I'm starting this thread to show you what's like to use Google Services on.

I am using the shortcut that you can create through Huawei's Petal Search for Youtube, I have enabled notifications and it's hardly noticeable anymore. And using Huawei's default app for Gmail, which even though at first I thought I wouldn't use, I gave it a try and love it.

Attaching some screenshots to make it more clear.

Feel free to share thoughts and questions.

I got a loan device for review on Thursday. It has been hard for me not having my Google apps. I also use the email app and also YouTube online. It does, but is not ideal.

Haha the kitty is adorable.
I understand the initial "withdrawal period" from having Google Apps, you can still get a fair bit of them, but it's definitely easier if you're ok with alternatives.

ive seen other ways to acces youtube also, but I personally have shortcut on the homescreenn for the browser version.

Unless you upload videos through your phone or want to check your inbox on Youtube the browser version is identical

Haha I love the "withdrawal" asect.

Out of curiosity what do you use in place of Google Maps? I had never used GPS until I got an Android phone and used maps by default so I'm clueless what there is for competition.

I have found it perfectly fine using the email app. Apart from the YouTube app (which I am missing). Everything else seems perfectly fine.

I used Waze on my P20 Pro and keep using it now on the P40 as well with no issue, since I had created my account with email. I did experiment with HereWeGo maps and it's pretty decent, I find it really light and "minimalist" and does the job pretty well.

Never tried the TomTom app, but I've seen on App Gallery, what's it like for you?
