in another thread someone told me i may need to wipe the cache partition > How to Wipe the cache partition on LG G Pad 8.3 | MobiAny but it doesn't work. my tablet never vibrates on reboot when I hold all the right combo buttons. it just boots up normally. i encrypted it. does that effect this?
i wiped the cache data in Settings > Storage > Clear cache. still slow [language cleanup].
so slow, i wanna break it. i turn it on, and have to wait like 5 seconds for all the apps on the home screen to load. sometimes even longer. it's really bad.
I used this app The Cleaner that clears cache. seems like it's improved, but still lags. i did not notice any difference right away. but i still wanna know my other options.
do i need to root it? i am thinking of resetting to factory settings. but i need to back it up first with all my data on apps and stuff. i am a tech doing backup for pcs and macs in the field. was just researching on how i could backup the android data like i backup the "User" folder under OS X and Windows 7, but seems like I gotta root my android first, or use an app like Helium.
any suggestions would be great. I am new to android, since this is my first. but i am weary on rooting my device as that voids the warranty. i think mine will end in a few months if its only a year. plus, i had a co-worker who messed up his android completely by trying to root it. but he always encouraged it. i never really understood why, until now...
