My Galaxy 5S just went through an automatic upgrade and installed an old pattern lock

I purposely havent had it implemented in months. Do I need to take it to the store?? Last time it did this, it erased everything in my phone. Is there a back up option?

This happened to me, I can't unlock it. I haven't had a pattern on this phone that I remember...

You need to contact the carrier or Samsung to have them provide you with information to recover and access your device.

you can try using android device manager or Samsung find my phone to unlock your phone.

I tried the Google sign in/find phone, it just wanted me to lock it or make it ring..

if you hover your mouse around the lock option, it says "lock and reset device password"
