My Galaxy Active watch issues...Steps Tracking and Alarm

So my Galaxy Active Watch is not sycing steps to my phone...watch shows 2000+ steps and phone shows 300??
Also, when I set the alarm, it only goes off on my phone...no vibrating etc...I see that the alarm is set on the phone, but when it is time...nothing...
Please help...I absolutely LOVE the watch, but these 2 things are key for me...especially the steps...
 
Are you looking in the Samsung Health app? If you tap on the steps count, it'll go to another screen which shows your steps trend. Just below the graph it will tell you the source its using - either Galaxy Watch Active or Mobile Phone. Is yours set to Mobile Phone? If so, tap on it and you can switch the source.
