Whenever I gmail images from my Samsung Avant phone to my email I always receive 2 identical emails. And I don't want to.

Are you using the stock Email app to send them, or the Gmail app? And are you starting in the gallery app and using the Share button, or are you starting in the email app and attaching the image?

So that means it's sending using the Gmail app (which was most likely preinstalled on the phone). Do you have any other email accounts added to your Gmail app, or do you only use Gmail as your only email account?

What happens if you open the Gmail app, start an email, and tap the Attach icon to attach the photo from the gallery?

I only have one gmail account. Here's what I just tried: On my phone, I opened the gmail app and hit the "+" symbol. I entered my email as the recipient and attached a picture from the gallery. In my computer I received 2 identical emails.

Is it only on your computer where you receive 2 emails? If so, what email client are you using on your computer (or are you just using the Gmail webmail interface in the browser)?

I am sending these emails FROM my only gmail account TO my non-gmail account. I cleared the cache and the data and force stopped gmail. Then I had to reset my sync options (everything off). Then I sent an image from my phone to my computer via gmail and I got 2 duplicate emails.
