My Galaxy Gear doesn't work AT&T Galaxy S4

I know GG doesn't support Galaxy S4 officially. I downloaded galaxy gear manager and installed successfully on my ATT GS4.
But when I try to connect to my GG, it is connected but GG has sync animation forever. When I use this to my co-worker's G Note 3, it works charm.

Anyone successfully connected to your ATT Galaxy S4?

I had connected the Gear to my AT&T Galaxy S4 just to test it back when I first got the Gear. I was able to receive a call successfully, but this is all that I tried. I then re-paired the Gear to my Note 3 and have been using it that way ever since.

I have my gear connected to my 4.2.2 S4 and nearly everything works. There are a number of things that don't, but everything needs to be side loaded. See this thread over at XDA. If you are rooted, you can change build.prop and make everyting work, but I am not and am going to wait for the official 4.3 update.

Thank you. I am finally able to connect to my gear after installing 1.2.130917 version from third party app store. No notifications work though.
