My Galaxy Note 4 won't send emails when wifi is on

I can't send emails with my Note four with the wifi on. If I shut off the wifi then my emails get sent. wifi is on I get error messages. Using telus.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain the wi-fi network or hotspot you're using is connected to the web? Not all wi-fi hotspots are--they might be abandoned public routers, or self-contained LANs, or signals from wi-fi enabled devices like printers.

I have the same issue and it happens all wifi networks I am logged on to. Shut it off and then the emails are sent.
