My galaxy S6 active keeps failing the update can you help

So my galaxy S6 active from Att says I have an update, its already running the OF3 baseband. I constantly get the message about an update it will download then fail on the install. Then when I try to check for updates it says my software is up to date then it appears again. I have no clue how to either install this ghost update or make it go away. I am using att network no funny stuff. Just a phone straight from att. My wife has the same phone and her baseband is OF4. So I guess there is an update but it always fails.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be clear, you're actually using this phone on the AT&T network, right? You're not using an AT&T phone on a some other network like Straight Talk, correct?

Try wiping the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21095

B. Diddy I wiped the cache and the update still failed. As soon as I booted into the menu it said it was installing the update but still failed

Are you connected to Wi-Fi? I know when I did it it said an update was available but I had to be connected to Wi-Fi to download and install it

I'm having the same problem.

After downloading the huge update file, it restarts, begins the update and fails.

I've been trying this every couple days for a week.

You have to have somewhere between 6-8 gigs free...

mine failed 3 times before i moved some songs over to my PC and freed up about 9 gigs. update went fine after that.

It is not a space issue. My wife had this problem on her S5. It told her for months that she had an update and she tried over and over and it always failed. If you have a Best Buy with a Samsung experience shop then bring it in there and they can force the update. Pain in the booty, but it worked finally.

I had this same issue. If you have disabled any of the stock "bloatware", you must enable those apps. After enabling them, check for updates in the Play Store and update them. Then try running the update again. This worked for me anyway.
