My Galaxy S7 goes quiet during a call and I cannot hear the other person

After speaking for about 5-8 mins the phone goes quiet and I cannot hear the other person speaking. Then it just comes back on.

Welcome to Android Central! Does that also happen on speakerphone, or with a wired or Bluetooth headset? If not, then perhaps there's a loose connection for the earpiece speaker.
