my gear s got wet and I need to know how to repair the device? can you take off the back to dry it?

Put it in a bowl of rice and let it sit for 48 hours. (The rice should absorb the moister from the watch)

How badly did it get wet? I wash mine every few days with soap and water and have never had a problem.

Gear S is water and dust resistant so why did getting wet bother it at all.

Gear S, like most of the smart watches, is only rated as IP67 which means dip in 1 meter (or 3 feet) of water for 30 minutes only.

My Gear S went through the washing machine last week for 3hrs solid!

after a day in rice and a hair dryer it done nothing.

However just today I discovered that taking the sim card cover off the back and holding a vacuum cleaning nozzle on there and sealing the gaps for five minutes everything is back working again.

Hope this helps for someone else, I was ready to replace mine when I had the idea
