My Gear S2 wont turn on

Yesterday I noticed my watchs battery drained down and turned off by 9pm. Usually I have between 40-50 %. I charged it over night and in the morning I turned it on but right after the Gear logo came on the watch shut off. I thought maybe I didnt have it charging properly so I put it back on the charger and a few hours later I checked it and the watch was very hot and would not turn on. Anyone got any advise?

Hello! Did you get a carrier version? I would see if they can help. I'm not sure how to get it to come on. On my phone I would try to boot into recovery, but I have no idea how to do that on a watch.

Yes, I bought it from Verizon. I cant even do a hard reset to it. I will have to wait until next week to bring it into Verizon, in the meantime, it will be strange not having it on...

I agree with Sydney. Take it to your carrier. It may be possible to reboot into recovery with adb commands over Bluetooth, but, all that has to be in place, and the watch has to be able to stay on long enough.

I put it back on the charger for a little while to see if I can get it to charge again otherwise back to Verizon it will have to go. Its been working perfectly since I got it (on release day).

Such relief! When I put it on the charger I wiggled it a bit and saw the green charge ring. It showed 0%. Then it charged correctly and it is now working. I am not sure why the charger messed up when I put it on before (twice). Put from now on I will watch for the green ring to confirm that it is set on correctly. I have charged it every night for months and never had a problem. I also did not like the way it got really hot...
