Android Central Question

I see from the forums that the problem is gifs are too big to send out of sms. Well to the employees of android my suggestion is to go tell whomever you need to, to build a better sms system. It's 2023 I should not have a problem sending gifs through sms on phone. I should not have to download any extra apps or anything. It should just work. Well I hope you figured this out in your new phones and this is pointless message otherwise you lost a customer. I'm tired of buying products from companies and they products can't get the basics right. I don't think I'm asking to much for my phone to work with default things. Why is there no place to complain on the Samsung or android website.

Welcome to Android Central! There is a better alternative to SMS -- it's called RCS Chat: https://www.makeuseof.com/rcs-messaging-android-use/. Google and other companies have been trying to make this into the new standard to replace SMS (which, by the way, was not created by Google -- it's ancient, dating back to 1992: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS).

The main obstacle to making RCS a new standard is Apple, surprise surprise. https://www.androidpolice.com/google-rcs-messaging-feud-apple-imessage/. So send your complaints to Apple as well.
