my girlfriends galaxy note 10 plus keeps waking up.

i have tried everything i could think of, and nothing is working. I put the Nice Catch app on her phone and turned on the screen wakeup history, and it says that the android systems app is waking the screen. I cant figure out how to stop this from happening. Its draining her battery really fast.

That means something she installed is causing the problem. The challenge now is to narrow it down further. If this started recently, then have her uninstall the most recently installed or updated apps one by one to see if the problem goes away. Sometimes, though, you just have to keep uninstalling apps one by one until you can demonstrate that the problem has gone away.

she said it started doing this after the phone updated. Its not exactly a simple process to rollback an update. ill do it as a last resort, if i have to. I am going to factory reset her phone after i back it up.

I would wait on factory reset remove apps couple at a time to see if it stops

That sounds like one of those "free" mp3 downloaders that may be pretty shady. Keep in mind that those kinds of apps are of questionable legality (since people use them to try to get copyrighted music for free when it should be paid for), and with any shady app, there's always the risk of malware -- not necessarily a virus per se, but perhaps something like crypto mining that can bog down the phone. Get rid of that app and anything like it.
