My Google 4a 5G overheats

I use the phone to video my stepson's demolition races. I never had the problem with my Pixel 2XL, but after five minutes or so I get a message saying the phone is overheating. I used an Otter Box on 2 XL, never a problem. I use an Otter Box on the 4a 5G, problem. Are the 4a 5G's prone to overheating and is there a cure?

Welcome to Android Central! How's your cell signal? If it's weak, that can increase heat production as the phone works to maintain the signal. Also, check your Google Photos backup settings. If it's set to backup automatically even on mobile data, that could potentially cause the phone to heat up (especially if your cell signal is poor).

Welcome to Android Central! When you say your device is overheating, is it getting to be too hot to touch? What happens when you take off your case? Does it get hot under other circumstances - like charging or watching videos?
