My GS4 Galaxy is not charging nor is it being recognized by my pc

I got an S4 and the usb will not detect the charger or a computer and it will not charge. I tried changing the usb flex cable and I bought one from amazon but that didn't work either. Are there any other known usb problems with the s4 or should I just try to order another flex cable because the one I ordered might be faulty too?

I would try to get a genuine cable to see if it works.

Where do you think I could find a genuine cable? The cable that I bought looks and feels the same as the one that was previously inside my s4. It even had the same numbers and stamps too. It might just be a really good fake or it may be genuine I can't tell but I don't know where I would find a genuine part

If you have a local best buy, take it there and have them test it at the samsung counter.

Welcome to Android Central! Also, make sure there isn't any debris in the microUSB port. Use a can of compressed air to blow it out.
