My hey google keeps turning off on samsung galaxy s21

Occasionally, after I setup the Assistant it will work 1 or 2 times after I exit from the setup program, but never more than that.

Ok go to settings>apps>at the top select default apps>choose digital assistant >tap digital assistant again what's highlighted there?Screenshot_20220816_171305_Permission%20controller.jpg

Ok I'm going give you couple more things to try out before I say factory reset

1. Make sure you try both WiFi and mobile data turn off one at a time , if still issue go settings>general management>reset>reset network
2. General management>reset>reset settings
3. Settings>apps>3 dots upper right corner tap reset apps preference

If after all that then a factory reset

One last thing
Make sure no ad blocker, antivirus, Malwarebytes, security apps, app cleaners, VPN

Tried everything you suggested and still no good. I guess I might as well try a factory reset.

Thanks for your efforts I really appreciate it. I'll report back after the reset.

Go to app info for Google play services and then scroll to the bottom where it says installed by play store. It will take you to it in the play store and see if there is an update. Then check for a play store update by hitting profile pic and then settings->about, check for update.

Okay, so I did the reset and Ok Google seems to be working. It's still downloading my apps and updating them. Let's see what happens when everything is updated.

thanks for trying to help, but guess it's a factory reset.

I've fixed that issue with a cache partition wipe.... try that before the factory reset.

Edit: Got in late on this one, sorry :-\ But it's something to try for future reference ;)

Was really hoping this would help, but alas, no go.
