My htc m9 keeps dying, the battery will not stay charged. What do i do?

I charge my android phone to 100% & it starts going down right away. It doesn't have to be on, the battery just starts losing power drastically. Then at about 60% the screen goes black. If i plug in the charger, the power jumps up to 80% and the phone comes on. It stays on only as long as the charger is connected. {and I am using the correct HtC charger for my device}

If you don't want another phone, you can look around for a shop, or send it to HTC, to get the battery replaced in yours. It'll cost more than a user relatable battery, but not near as much as a new phone.
