My HTC One M8 is dead and won't charge. What should I do?

my htc one m8 is dead and wont charge

the battery started to die faster than usual this past week. tonight i was out and it died completely. now when i put it on the charger, it blinks orange and the dead battery screen pops up for about 2 seconds and then it goes black. this happens continuously until i take it off the charger. please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Leave it plugged into a wall outlet overnight without disturbing it. If it still doesn't power on in the morning, then the battery has probably failed. I'm not sure how easy it is to replace the battery, since the M8 has a unibody design.
