Android Central Question

First, bluetooth stops working. I know because my CGM data works if the wifi is connected. But after a few weeks, all contract is lost even though both devices imply they are still working.

First indication that Bluetooth is gone occurs when I realized that notifications have stopped working.

The only fix I've found is to reset the watch to factory default. And re-pair the devices. Then the process starts over.

Rebooting both devices does not help. Launching the Huawei app and pressing connect does not help.

The watch is currently in wifi only mode.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd really like to save this watch. It still works.

Moved.

As far as your original problem, have you tried unpairing them - then pairing them again? (Just to save yourself some work.)

Doess your GM also have Bluetooth? That could be causing the problem, even if you're not pairing it (and especially if you are).

We obviously cannot help further if you do not respond.

Hello, everyone. I too have been experiencing similar problems with losing Bluetooth connection between my Huawei watch and my Pixel 2XL phone. Prior to these problems developing a few weeks ago, I could maintain normal connection, including when the phone automatically connects to my car. I could use the phone hands-free in the car and still receive notifications on the watch. However, in the past few weeks, every time I get in the car and my phone connects automatically, it drops the watch connection. Moreover, I've also noticed that my watch battery is draining very quickly. In the past before any of these connection problems arose, I would get home and still have about 65% battery left on the watch, after starting out with 100% in the morning. Now I'm seeing it shut down by late afternoon. It may be related to the connectivity problem, as it sometimes takes quite a while to reconnect to the phone after I park the car and go into work. I wonder if anyone has any insight as to why this is just now occurring after years of trouble-free use. Thanks for reading my long post.

Is everything on the watch up to date (including the Wear OS app)?

Is everything on the watch up to date (including the Wear OS app)?

As far as I know, all the apps are up to date. I open the Wear OS app and it shows that the watch is "disconnected," yet at the very same time, I get a notification on the watch that an email has come in. So, in fact, it is not disconnected. I also looked for an "update" button, but there doesn't seem to be one. Both the Wear OS and the Huawei app were last updated 12/11/2019.

Not sure if this is what you did, but to look for an update to the Wear OS app, open the Play Store app on the watch, then My Apps, and see if there are any updates there.

Hello everyone:

Just wanted to update you on the situation I wrote about. I was able to unpair the watch and then pair it again. After doing that, I was able to get it to connect with the phone and stay connected while in the car. Problem is solved. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my post.
