I have before and just did. Can i use a pen cap? There is no straight answer in that thread

Try the pen cap. See if it works. Probably steel wool would be quicker. You can buy that at the market.

Mine has just now begun to peel noticeably, but I do use the crap out of it so I'm not too bothered. I'll probably take some super-fine sandpaper to it.

I haven't read this whole thread, but somewhere I read (in another thread I think - hope!) that it was good to use one of those green glass-top stove scouring pads to remove the film.

Okay thank.you guys after reading all these suggestions and the xda thread i think im going to use the steel wool then sand it down with sand paper.

i think my tbolt looks kinda "raw" with the peelings. if ya know what i mean
