My kindle Fire HD 7 was in standby mode and I noticed a strange blue icon in the upper right.

It was sitting on its stand, plugged in and in standby mode. I've been having the "kindle screen wakes itself up from standby mode" issue. I looked over and it was a black screen, except for the upper right corner. There was a little blue icon almost like the body and head of a lego character without details. I'm not sure what program might use an icon like that, but when I swiped the screen, it went away and there were no programs running.

Does anybody know what program might use an icon like that? Do I have to worry that someone might have hacked into my kindle?

As soon as I swiped the screen to wake it, the icon disappeared and has not come back.

I'm also having the problem where it wakes itself up/turns on the screen from Standby mode. I'll have it in it's stand, on the charger and look over randomly during the day or nite and it will be on/screen lit. It seems to do this at random. Some days a lot and others not at all or seldom...

Keep a eye on it , if it happens again try take screenshot.

There's usually some notifications.. haven't noticed if it's ever done it when there's NO notifications.. could some of them be waking it? It never used to do it until a few months back, so I suspected a operating system update that's allowing it. I have an older kindle fire hd 7 that I haven't updated the system and it doesn't do it.

Usually notification will make the screen light up for moment then go back off

When it happens and I look over, it's on the woke up but not yet swiped screen, the one with ads on it. I've seen other posts about the HD 7 and other models doing this, but have yet to see anyone with an answer that works... The screen doesn't go back to standby/black screen mode.

You have ads ? Look at an recent apps download , this possible causing your issue

Don't think I've installed anything lately but I'll look. The only Ads I get are on the initial wake up screen before the swipe.
