My Le Max2 phone isnt seeing my PC again for over 1 year

Hi guys, please i have been having issues using my fone data cable to connect to my PC for over 1 year now. What could be the problem. When i tap on the Media device (MTP) option to access my files, the check sign doenst leave the Charge Only option so i have two checks at thesame time.
Please see attached screenshot.

Also since i bought the phone in 2018, it has only updated once when i set it up and since then it just says the phone andriod version is up to date.....

Welcome to Android Central! When you tap MTP, is the phone recognized by your PC, or does it still not show up in Windows File Explorer? Have you already tried different USB cables?

I would not be surprised if LeEco did not have any further official system updates beyond the one you got. Many smaller Android manufacturers are pretty bad when it comes to system updates.
