AC Question

Phone Type: LG Revel(?) 3G

Some backgrounds:
I was arriving near the fridge, which was near the CR, and I lost grip to my phone due to slippery, sweaty hands. I tried to grab it, in vain, and instead fell into a almost full water container. It was a small one but my whole phone was engulfed in water. Grabbing it out and quickly trying to dry everything I can inside and out, it worked...for a small amount of time. After like, 5 minutes of using the phone after the event, when I tried to enter my mobile Facebook and accidentally accessing the FB Camera, my screen suddenly froze in place. I eventually resorted to removing the battery and discovering that even the battery was wet, dried it using a small cloth piece. After that, my phone was stuck on black, even though I see the red light on the top of the phone (which usually tells that either it's charging or it's turning on). After that, I resorted to charging my phone. This time, I heard it's turn-on sound. And I tried interacting with the power button. Usually when I'm about to turn off/restart the phone, when I long-press the said button, it vibrates for a short while. It did vibrate, but of course since it's black screen nothing happens, even when I try to interact with it. Me being sleepy, I charged it and slept. Next day, I talked to a friend about the situation, and he recommended to put the phone to a rice container to dry everything off the phone, and keep it there for half a/whole day. I tried that, and after I got home from school I came back only to see the same problem.

Anyone knows how to solve this problem? Should I replace my phone or is there still hope for it?

Any answer would be appreciated. Thank you. :)

Ohkay. This is the same guy. For the one who replied, many thanks. But here's something...

Update:

After three days of leaving the phone into the rice (which should guarantee it's all dry, and I know, I've red the link and it's not the best thing), we got it to work...somehow. It has a screen, but it's so dark even in 100% brightness that we need to get it close to a open light bulb/bright sky to see what the screen is showing. Is there still hope? If there is none, I understand. Thanks anyways :D
