My LG G4 four months later

Android Central gave me the opportunity to test the LG G4 H815 and I have to say it is an amazing phone, it has never given me a problem with lag or overheating and is hands down the best phone I have had.

Since then I have rooted it with the help of this link.

Thinking about unlocking the BL not sure though, debloated a little but will debloat more when I address it.
The camera issue I had with the camera mod is fixed, I had used root explorer to paste and change permissions.
You must after pasting the files exit root explorer and reopen it and then change the permissions before rebooting.
No issues with booting with wrong permissions other than the camera app crashing when trying to record.
Sound mod is noticeable now and I have to turn down the volume so its not so loud. (I also had these permissions wrong)
Set them all to rw-r-r and reboot.

I will update this thread as I come across more mods that I like.

Thank you Android. Do you not experience the keyboard lag/touch issues that some users have? ...I'm referring to the missed spaces between words.

No I have not had any issues with my G4 at all, even before rooting and everything.
Just making it the beast that it is now.

Update on the camera mod, seems to glitch out when trying to record.
The screen goes from auto mode to manual mode and stops recordings.
Everything else about the camera mod is fine and 60FPS looks amazing.

Right now I wish there was a port from the V10 camera to the G4 plus a 60FPS mod on that.

This phone is a solid keeper if nothing meets my requirements.

Hey AndroidHabit , just rooted my G4 on 811, currently on marsmellow, xposed (all modules disabled) and installed the 60fps mod, for some reason yesterday the mod worked properly without any issue, but today, the cam will crash at when trying to record in any video mode, even front cam, any idea on what could it be?

Man that is funny, sorry I just read your comment today. I am seeing that issue right now, though I am using another keyboard after losing stock keyboard function when I was debloating. I removed xt9 dictionary and stock keyboard would crash. So how do you search and download an app when your keyboard doesn't work? LOL I got it and found a nifty little keyboard with no permissions and small app size and it comes in black. Seeing that issue of missed spaces now but thought it was the app.

The missed spaces problem seemed to come and go for me. I tried the Google keyboard long ago, which resulted in a great improvement, but only for a while. I'm currently using the stock keyboard again, with the missed spaces issue not evident.

I still have the problem but haven't switched back to stock or any other keyboard. I like this simple and small app size keyboard.

Also I don't know if this is an issue with this keyboard I am using or not but when I enter lets say, g4 the number will delete the letter or vise versa.

Yup, permissions were set correctly, so i simply wiped and redid everything, i really wanted low dpi, but was a pain to either modify or replace system app that would've crash on lower dpi's.
I was able to do it , but had to replace phone,contacts,clock,messaging,email,(keyboard with dpi set from xposed module).
All of this becuase custom roms cams seem way inferior, anyway, thanks for the help!
