My LG G4 is not yet a month old. I was at a gig yesterday and i was testing a phono/phone jack to XLR cable. I plugged the cable in my phone and plugged the XLR connector to a Alesis mixer i didnt get any sound so i figured the jack was defective. immediately after that i noticed that the icon is still on the screen. I tried plugging back the jack in the phone several times still there. I tried restarting the phone. I even did a factory reset nothing works. Now i can only use the phone if i have a headphone plugged in the audio port.

Isn't XLR (typically) the high impedance input, for stage mics and those kinds of high impedance loading devices...?
Some mixers also have balanced XLR inputs, that are not compatible with single ended audio circuits used on cell phones and ipod players.

Does your mixer have a line input or AUX input?... might be better to use that.
Hopefully you didn't damage anything. I am not sure how to re-set your phone though.

Let others correct me on my comments above.

Good Luck!!!
