My LG k7 turns on but turns back off after a few seconds of turning back on. It won't charge at all. I tried plugging it in different outlets but that didn't work either. My LG k7 is not connected. so what do you think the problem is my phone or the plug? Can it be fixed? Please respond asap. Thank you!

Welcome.

It’s difficult to judge, or at least, I find it so. It could be the USB lead, battery, or something in the phone. Try first a different USB lead, as being the cheapest attempted fix, though I think that a bad battery is fairly likely.

I tried different USB's that still didn't work. So could it possibly be the battery?

^ Yes, fairly likely I think, but it could be something else.

If the battery is bad, the phone would still power on but not charge. If you fully remove the battery (if it's a removable option, that is) but have it plugged in, you'd at least get a notice to install the battery before you can boot up. So my guess is that the battery isn't the problem. If you've already tried a new USB cable, the charger itself would be the next cheapest to replace. Those typically don't go bad, so I'd have my doubts that's the issue either.

So I'm leaning towards a hardware issue with the phone itself. Something like the USB port being damaged or maybe even just clogged with pocket lint or something you could clean out. If the phone has been bent or taken any hard impacts, an internal component linking the USB port to the main board and battery could have been damaged.

This is one of those cases I'd let a shop diagnose the root cause.
