My LG Optimus Fuel has the wrong date and time, how do I fix this?

My LG Optimus Fuel has the wrong date and time.

I just got this phone a few days ago, and I just noticed, it has the date and time. I went to Settings, Date & time, and messed about with the only to options available. It's not mandatory for me to have a clock and calender on this phone, but it would be a very convenient thing. Help?

Welcome to Android Central! What were the only options available in Settings>Date & Time? Can you manually set the date and time? Is there no setting for "Automatic date & time"?

The two settings in Date & time are Use 24-hour format and Select date format, I cannot manually set the date and time, there's no setting that says Automatic date & time. Also, thanks for welcoming me.

Hmm, that's weird. Are there any options there that are greyed out?

Saw another post about your problem here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...ou-set-date-time-thing-optimus-fuel-l34c.html. I'm not exactly sure what the respondent meant by "locater," but it might mean the Location Service. Do you have it turned on? It doesn't have to be GPS--just as long as the whole Location function is turned on. Go to Settings>Location to check.

Well, I have to say, that's kind of messed up. I don't think I've ever seen a device that doesn't allow you to manually set the date and time.

Well, I mean, it was forty dollars, so I guess I have to expect these types of things. Although, everything else runs really smoothly.

I use clock sync to manage this
