My LG5 phone does not charge when plugged to any port in my car.

[Android Central Question]

I think it may have to do with the settings on my phone, as I had recently changed the USB to transfer files to my computer at home, instead of just charging. I can't find where to change my phone back to charging anywhere in the settings/share, etc.
It's not the charger cable, as we've tried three different ones. My wife's phone, identical to mine, doesn't have any problem charging with the same cables and from the same port(s) in our car.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be clear -- you're connecting the phone to a USB port in the car, and not a car charger plug, correct?

When you connect, swipe down the notification panel -- is there a USB icon there? If so, tap it and select Charge Only.
