my mic on my lg stlylo 3 doesnt work for speakerphone or videocall

the mircrophone on my lg stylo 3 plus works for recording audio and but doesnt work when the phone is on speakerphone or during videocalls. i can hear fine but they cant hear anything from my end as if i was on mute. The microphone works for other tasks tho such as video recording and an instrument tuner that picks up the sound. How do i fix this problem its really annoying. i know it cant be a hardware problem because it works for other tasks besides these 2. HELP
