My Music Library on Google Music different on dekstop vs phone

I'm having a weird problem. I just switched back to android, I have a Pixel right now that I'm desperately trying to sync or at least GET music onto from iTunes.

So I couldn't get my music to upload to Google Music on desktop at all, it kept saying my connection was insecure, but somehow I got it to add the folders to sync from. It has an arrow in the bottom left that seems to indicate it's uploading something but...

My Google Music Library on my desktop has a Deadmau5 album I'm fairly certain I never purchased, and one song by Chaka Khan, and nothing else.

But on the phone... My Google Music Library has everything from my mac's Music folder, aka everything I had in iTunes. What's going on? Yes, I'm logged into the same account on both devices.

Welcome to Android Central! On your desktop browser, go to your Play Music library, then go to its Settings. Under "General," click the Refresh Library button. Does that do anything?

Sounds like a sync issue, my play lists don't always go between devices unless I do as B. Diddy suggested.

I've tried that, but the two libraries still look different. I used Android File Transfer program on my desktop to drag and drop the files from iTunes into my phone, but I also tried telling the desktop version to sync everything in my Music folder on my mac. Not sure which of those two things caused my music to be on my phone. I'm happy it's there, just not happy it isn't syncing to the desktop version of Google Music.

If the music files were physically copied to the phone's storage, then they don't get synced to your Play Music library in the cloud. The Play Music app can still function as a local music file player, so just because you see those music files on the app doesn't mean they're also in your cloud.

I've tried using the google play website but it says it can't get a secure connection. The app just says it can't upload at all.

Are you going to the website on your desktop browser or your mobile browser?
