I have only had my Droid for about a week and it has already reset itself twice. I am now trying to figure out what is causing it. I think it might be the Facebook app. Has anyone had or know of a problem with the Facebook app that would cause this?

I've had a problem with my Droid randomly rebooting. My phone is a fru replacement but in the month and a half I've had it its rebooted 3 to 4 times. My phone is stock 2.1 with same apps as previous phone. My previous phone was new and had rebooted once. Hadn't experienced it since 2.1.

I would return it as soon as possible. No sense in trying to figure out whats wrong with it. Have them give you a new one.

There are a number of potential reasons. If you want to troubleshoot, I'd suggest seeing if the timing of the resets seems to indicate the cause (i.e. what happens right before each reset?). With a new device, though, I'd suggest getting a new replacement. You're under the first 30 days.

I had issues with my Droid rebooting itself. It wasn't resetting, like back to a factory reset, but it was constantly turning on and off throughout the day. I went through 4 factory refurbs before I got one that wasn't doing this. Verizon never seemed to have a good answer as for why it was happening, other than to blame it on apps that were downloaded. The only problem with that was the first 2 phones I had that it happened on I hadn't downloaded any apps yet before it started happening. Final phone is working fine, apps installed, no issues. I'd call Verizon and explain to them what's happening and get a new/refurb sent out to you. I just wish it wouldn't have taken so many tries to get a good working phone for me!

Mine doesn't reset often but when it does its always when not being used so not much to troubleshoot on. I think its something with 2.1 as I never had this problem with 2.0 or 2.0.1.
