wifi: 5ghz

my new phone is losing wifi connection all the time.

yesterday i reset wifi settings and then it worked until today. today same problem again.

the phone does not connect to wifi even though I reset network settings again. it connects but drops signal immediately.

can anyone help me please?

Keep in mind that although 5 GHz has faster throughput than 2.4 GHz, its range is significantly worse and can't penetrate solid materials as well. So if you only have one access point in your house and you walk some distance away, the signal may drop off enough that you lose the connection. Try changing to 2.4 GHz and see if that's any better.

Can you confirm that this is happening when you're close to the router? I'm still wondering about the range issue with 5 GHz.

ok i get issues again. now i connected it to 2.4 ghz. ill return to tell if it got solved or not.
Who is your provider? If tmobile, did you set up 911 as shown by Cardboard above?
Maybe your provider requires it too.
Good luck

When it's connected to either 2.4 Ghz or 5 GHz, is the signal strength always high, or does it often look weak?

since i started using 2.4 ghz wifi. ive never encountered any connection issues. this samsung a40 phone seems to have issues connecting to 5ghz wifi.

hope they'll fix it soon.

Oh, I must've misunderstood -- I thought your previous response mentioned having problems on 2.4 GHz.
