Android Central Question

I plugged my nexus 5 in and 5 minutes later the phone shut off. Then it started flashing battery icon. It never leaves that screen. When I unplug it and try to turn it on, nothing happens. No red light, black screen, not even empty battery icon. Can somebody help me? Its been like this for a week.

That's a 6 year old battery. Even with the best of care, lithium batteries don't last forever. As Galactic Zoo said, it's probably dead. (And for the $100 it's going to cost to replace the battery, you could buy a Pixel and have money left over, or a Pixel 2 for just a little more money.)
