5.0.1 has done its destruction. The only reason I updated it from 4.4.2 was the OS crashed. After rebooting it's laggy. Once I get to 2nd or 3rd day everything is just ssssssssssssssssssssssllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww. It's beyond ridiculous and Google should be ashamed of themselves for obsoleting 1.5 year old hardware like this.

My nexus 7 2013 was exactly the same with lollipop 5.02, after a day or so the thing slowed to a standstill so I reverted back to kit kat 4.4 and all is well again.

Strange how different people have such different experiences. I have both a 2012 and 2013 N7. 2012 was almost unusable on 5.0 and 5.0.2 but has come back to life on 5.1. 2013 I went from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 and it has run perfectly on both OS versions.

Clear the system cache. 5.0.2 is working well on my N7 2013.

Today I reverted my previously locked, unrooted stock Nexus 7 2012 (wifi only) from Lollipop to Kitkat. If there's a wrong way of doing something, I'll usually find it, so it took me half a day to do it, but now I have my old snappy Nexus 7 back! Funny thing was that after reverting to the stock 4.4.4 Kitkat, I even got my old Kitkat desktop wallpaper back! It was like saying hello again to an old friend! What a relief. Lollipop sucked so bad on the Nexus 7 2012. I'd tried all the cache clearing and other tricks and none of them helped that much. I'm afraid to accept the Lollipop update on my Note 4.
