I had the dreaded "Stuck on Google screen" problem that many have been having. Asus told me it would be over $200 to fix. I fixed it myself. Sadly, there's no magic cure that I know of - I ordered a used, working 16gb motherboard for less than $40 from a seller on Amazon and replaced it myself. I though others might like to know that there's no special procedure if you want to do this, just swap the motherboard (it's the board with the headphone jack on it.) I had previously planned to buy a 32gb N7 with cracked screen from ebay, but it was gone by the time I decided to pull the trigger.
I'm still hoping that Google/Asus will do something about all of this, and I can go back to my 32gb motherboard.
