Loaded a newly released ICS rom on my Nexus S 4G and suddenly i'm not as excited to spend $300 on a new phone and leave Sprint with unlimited data...

verizon should probably hurry up.. I'm guessing there's quite a few people who are finding reasons not to buy the phone with every passing day..

Then again i checked google.com/nexus and it sure does look pretty... lol

If those of us on verizon could get a nexus s I think most would have one. We aren't that lucky though.

Beginning to flounder here to. Almost willing to see what's coming out at CES.

Agree. I mean you figure if it does come the 8th that is almost 3 weeks and by then most phones will have an ics rom anyway.

I kinda see your point but Sprint unlimited data < Verizon 10GB for $50 (the liklyhood of anyone using 10GB unless you are constantly streaming is VERY slim)

I have sprint unlimited right now and have since the EVO 4G. Their wimax coverage is piss poor and the 3G data speeds are less than 1mbps. Im sorry argue the unlimited data all you want but i would rather have a Lamborghini and pay for gas then ride the bus with an unlimited pass.

yeah i'm just being a big baby, lol.

Sprint is crap and the sole reason why i'll most likely get a Gnex. i have no 4g coverage in my area on Sprint while Verizon does have great 4g service here. i get under 1 mbps 95% of the time, i only use 2-3 gigs per month, and talk for about 100-200 minutes per month.

I am indeed riding the bus, lol. That or pushing a lambo down the road with no engine.

you posted in the wrong forum... this thread is about Nexus S 4G. This is the Galaxy Nexus forum.

Re: my Nexus S 4G w/ ICS is flying. GNex looks slightly less yumm

If the Rezound gets rooted to ICS soon it will tempt me. Probably not though because while I love music I have a MP3 player for music and I can set my own EQ. One prominent sound signature sounds like a gimmick but headphones would be nice.

Re: my Nexus S 4G w/ ICS is flying. GNex looks slightly less yumm

If you put ICS on the Rezound, won't you lose Beats Audio?

Not a deal breaker for me, but I have it on my Touchpad and it does sound nice.

Re: my Nexus S 4G w/ ICS is flying. GNex looks slightly less yumm

The Verizon sales manager at BJ's told me that the Rezound will be getting ICS in January. (as he was copping an attitude about the Nexas and saying how great the ReZound was!) Needless to say, I just walked away.
I WANT MY GALAXY NEXUS!!!

Re: my Nexus S 4G w/ ICS is flying. GNex looks slightly less yumm

I have a unlimited data plan, that and the possibility of having 32GB of storage vs. 16GB are the only things keeping me from ordering one from the UK. I'm still seriously considering it.

Re: my Nexus S 4G w/ ICS is flying. GNex looks slightly less yumm

See, this is the thin line for me too. I have a Nexus S and once it gets ICS there isn't that much to entice me to the GNex. The only features I drool for are the large HD screen and the 4G network speeds.

Decisions, decisions.

In terms of actual quality headphones, those beats are garbage.

Sure, they're nicer than most stock 'phones given out with phones, but you're better off going out and spending $100 on some other headphones than those.

They have a lot of bass, for most people bass ≠ good sound.

You just described the most important features in a phone, it's data speeds and it's screen. What better reasons could there be to upgrade?

Re: my Nexus S 4G w/ ICS is flying. GNex looks slightly less yumm

Does the ICS rom use on screen buttons, or does it make use of the hardware buttons of the Nexus S?

If it does make use of the hardware buttons, are ICS on screen buttons permanently hidden?

Re: my Nexus S 4G w/ ICS is flying. GNex looks slightly less yumm

I'm moving to verizon for a 720p AMOLED 4.65 screen that includes ICS.

If i just wanted ICS, i could just wait on sprint for samsung to get off their butts and put it on my S2.

Oh and I like having 4G everywhere and able to penetrate...i don't know...AIR!!!

Re: my Nexus S 4G w/ ICS is flying. GNex looks slightly less yumm

Seeing how great ICS is on the Nexus S does make it easier to wait, perhaps even long enough to get the Galaxy Nexus secondhand and super cheap.

Unless you're talking about rooted roms, I'm sure the rom is written for the device. So the hardware buttons must still work.
