Re: my nexus s is bricked and wont recognize the usb is plugged i

Yeah no OS and no way that I know of to put a zip/OS file on the phone. I've always used Android phones with a removable sd card, so this is strange to me. I need a trick or tip on how to access USB/mass stoage inside the Nexus S 4G. PC wont read the mass stoage

So you formatted system. You didn't brick. You can still get to the bootloader and recovery, you just do not have an OS on the phone.

Check out buglessPete's post over on xda. He posted stock odex and deodex roms, that you can flash, also original images. See here.
Have you tried mounting usb storage through 'mounts and storage' in the recovery? That requires a different driver than the one needed for fastboot.

If you can, transfer over the rom of your choice, or get all the correct drivers for your pc OS and phone combination.

Go read this, this is an old phone, old post, no one else will probably answer and I forget everything that I knew.
XDA is good, more detailed and can be complicated so read, re-read, search, you will find it. These phones are fixable.
Google the Samsung drivers through Samsung website, support, for your phone, might have to redownload.
