My Nightmare Experience

I have to tell all of you my experience of getting my Note 5 yesterday,....Posted via the Android Central App

Glad ur "nightmare" resulted in a "dream come true" phone : )

In the case of the Note 5, its really great to see, "actual owners" giving it a HUGE THUMB's UP! But in all honesty, 6 hours is just a drop in the bucket compared to the weeks upon weeks I used to spend leading up to a Samsung Phones release, scouring for every bit of info, enduring, "tight lipped embargo rules observers who wouldn't budge an inch, calling AT&T everyday, ("Any word yet"?) then on the actual day the crowd 20 deep for activations at Best Buy. (You long time forum ppl KNOW what i'm talking 'bout!) THEN, u FINALLY get it and half the time it had issues and just didn't, "live up to the hype!".....

I am sooooooooo glad the competition is soooooooooo vast that Phone mfg's no longer have that kind of power over us, now you blink and the "next great thing has landed already, and ur biggest dilemma is, "which color should i get!"

And each time I went thru that, i'd be like, never again, "obsessing over upcoming phones" is maddening...

Those days WERE a true nightmare!!

Thanks for sharing. I almost always have a great experience at BB. I was there at 10 yesterday as well. Fortunately for me, I was out in 30 minutes with my phone, charger and $200 gift card. They were very ready and prepared and the Samsung experience guy was taking pictures of everyone getting their new phones.

Same exact experience. The Samsung guy gave t-shirts and wrist brackets too.

Unfortunately I had the same bad pre-order experience with Best Buy. I had a preorder appointment for Friday, the day the phone comes out at 3pm. The phones hadn't been delivered yet, so I accept the fact that it'll be a couple of days before they come in. But something said to call them Saturday morning. I called and sure enough they had 64gb Verizon models available. They didn't even call to tell me my pre-order was in. I wouldve been out of luck if I didnt trust my gut and call them.

They coded my preorder wrong with Verizon which caused me not be able to upgrade on an upgradable line. So I had to add a line, and Verizon wanted money down. I said this is unacceptable, so Best Buy did give me $250 in gift cards to off set the down payment Verizon wanted and they took $25 off ZAGG or whatever the popular branded tempered glass is and $25 off Platinum series kickstand case. I was happy to walk out with my phone. I went in at 10am and left at 230pm.

Best Buy made good on fixing my account and giving me extra discounts. But now i'm feeling bad because I may need to return the phone and they went through all of the trouble and I wasted so much time. Ugh lol. I don't think the storage is going to be enough for me. I have 30 plus gb of music and if I try to listen to the music from the cloud it will use my data. Stuck between a rock and a hard place or just return to my iPhone 6+. I've had all Notes series except for the first model because Verizon didnt carry it. Decisions, decisions.
