My Note 2 keeps forgetting my settings

I keep setting my Note 2 to use a particular application for opening documents or webpages, etc, and to stay on while plugged in (in developer options)... and it just keeps forgetting them every time I switch off. I love the phone and this is my only niggle with it.

Is there a way of making it remember all the settings I choose, so I don't have to do it every day?

are u setting the apps to "Always"?

+1. When you choose which app to use for a particular task, choose "Always" instead of "Just Once" and it will remember your preference. If you ever decide to change that, you can go into the app settings and clear defaults.

Yes, I'm setting the apps to always, but they're still forgetting my choice. When I switch the phone back on, it's as though I've never made a choice.
