My Note 3 does not play all my music files

I have over 700 songs on my Samsung Note 3; however, only about 100 or so of them play. It took a few weeks to notice this as I do fun work in my garage. The player is the default one that comes with the device. I transfer the music files hardwired from my computer to my Note 3. I’m very much a novice with these devices.

The phone doesn't play music, an app does. And it has to play the file type the music is saved in. Look at the file type of the ones that don't play (it should play .aac and .ogg files by default - all phones play .mp3 files) and someone can point you to an app that will play the files the default player doesn't play.
