My Note 9 reboots often when I sleep...

So lately, my Note 9 randomly reboots for no reason. I wake up or check my phone, and I find out that I have to re-enter my startup password (not PIN, fingerprint, or pattern).

I checked to see if any major software updates were made.But there were none.

Is my phone compromised / "hacked"?

You probably have Auto Restart turned on. It's in the Settings under Device Care. Tap on the 3 dots top right corner, and Advanced. Hope this helps.

Auto Restart? It just does an automatic reboot at a scheduled time of your choice. Some people think this keeps the phone running smoothly, but I doubt it. I just do a reboot if the phone seems to be sluggish for some reason (which is extremely uncommon on my Pixel 3 XL).

Ah, you're right.... What does it do?

It's to optimize the phone , I don't use the feature and will reboot if stuff freeze but very rare

I haven't made the time to familiarize everything.

I used it for a while then turned it off. I saw no difference.
